Pastor Jane Field
The Reverend Jane Field became the Pastor of Faith Lutheran in August of 2016. She received her Bachelor's degree in Economics and Public Policy from Kalamazoo College and her Masters in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. Pastor Jane received her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
She also serves as the Executive Director of the Maine Council of Churches, an organization of nine denominations (including the ELCA) who seek common ground to work for the common good by inspiring individuals and congregations across the state to build a culture of compassion, justice and peace.
Her preaching style is informal and focuses on the power of humor and storytelling to convey the gospel message. She loves the beauty of the Lutheran liturgy with its focus on weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
David Hansen plays from the heart. Each Sunday he ensures that the choir and congregation receives a weekly spiritual journey through music.
David has the ability to provide musical accompaniment that appeals to all. He engages each person, whether their taste be simple or sophisticated. David’s goal at Faith, is that each person leaves musically satisfied.
David Young Jr.
David is one of our confirmed youth at Faith. He is senior in High School and is a member of the Chamber Choir.
David is an accomplished singer and songwriter, having recently completed the recording of his first solo album. He plays guitar and harmonica during our worship services and often lends his voice to our choir.
Phoebe is also a confirmed youth member of Faith. She is a Junior in High School where she is active in the Drama program and the school's Band.
Phoebe is our lead vocalist during worship service. She keeps us all in tune and on time. She also plays the guitar and violin both during worship and for special musical performances.
Every other week in the summer we worship in our Outdoor Chapel. We still take communion but use a different worship format with a focus on the sermon and worship music. Behind the chapel, on our 12 acres, you can access the Meditation Trail which is open to the public. Our Outdoor Chapel is also a lovely setting for a wedding. Please feel free to inquire.
